The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes

House of Ashes is a cinematic horror game set at the close of the Iraq War. Special Forces hunting for weapons of mass destruction unearth something far deadlier – a buried Sumerian temple containing a nest of unearthly creatures.

At Supermassive Games I worked on House of Ashes, which I saw from early whiteboxing to the end of development bug fixing. I especially focused on cinematic, level and technical design as I built levels from the ground up, implementing interactive elements and designing action packed cinematics.

NASCAR 21: Ignition

NASCAR 21: Ignition is a racing video game simulating the 2021 and 2022 NASCAR Cup Series seasons. With incredible graphics and immersive gameplay, NASCAR 21: Ignition brings a whole new level of authenticity and atmosphere to the NASCAR Cup Series.

At Motorsport Games I worked on NASCAR 21: Ignition and other titles as a mid level designer; designing and implementing cinematics and replay camera systems and building levels from the ground up for our 3D scanned race tracks. I also worked on AI systems, implementing dynamic racing lines into the tracks as well as designing and implementing character behaviors and stats based on real-world data.

Personal Projects

Rust to Riches

Rust to Riches is a project I started with a couple of Uni friends just after we had graduated. I was interested in the mechanics of modern racing games and used this project as a way to better understand the intricacies of the math and logic behind them.

Rust to Riches Demo 2: Banking Splines

These two tracks were made using splines in UE4 utilising a dynamic banking technique, allowing me to make fine adjustments to the steepness of the track inside the engine.

Boom Platoon

Boom Platoon is a local multiplayer turn based shooter. Between 2 and 4 players take control of tanks that battle it out for control of the island.

Polymancer (Honours Project)

Polymancer is an action RPG where the player must battle corruption to restore balance to the world. Fight monsters, explore varied environments, level up and unlock powerful spells.

Fragmented Fate

Fragmented Fate is a hero turn based roguelike. Player’s explore procedurally generated dungeons fighting monsters, with customisable party loadouts, equipment and abilities.
